Zensor BHM Band Heaters

Band and strip heaters are highly suitable for both cylindrical and flat-surface applications. They offer versatility by accommodating a range of termination designs and can be customized with cut-outs and holes to meet specific customer needs. The choice of insulation material, whether mica or ceramic, is determined by the customer's temperature range requirements. Both insulation materials facilitate efficient heat transfer from the heating wire to the application surface, ensuring even heat distribution and, consequently, an extended heater lifespan.

These mica band heaters can reach level of up to 55 W/in². Mica strip heaters, on the other hand, are capable of reaching power densities of up to 35 W/in².

The mounting or clamping of band heaters offers various options tailored to specific customer applications or requirements. The chosen clamping method significantly influences the quality of heat transfer and comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages.
