Model E4 - Overview

The Model E4 is a general purpose chilled mirror dew/frost
point hygrometer which provides optional temperature, relative
humidity, and pressure measurements. Housed in a rugged,
moisture and dust resistant NEMA-12 enclosure, the Model
E4 provides accurate measurement in a wide variety of demanding
applications.
The basic model, Model E4-DP, measures
dew/frost point. Two addition models are available: the
Model E4-RH and the E4-PR. Both have dual analog outputs,
an assignable alarm relay, and the option of one of two
displays. The Model E4-RH measures temperature and dew point,
and calculates % RH. All three parameters can be displayed
or output. The Model E4-PR measures pressure and dew point,
and calculates ppmv, grains per pound, and other parameters.
The Model E4 can be mated with any one
of five Chilled Mirror sensors to provide an overall measurement
range from -80º to +85ºC (-112º to 185ºF)
dew/frost point.
To reduce contamination-induced error,
the Model E4 uses advanced microprocessor control and General
Eastern's patented PACER™ circuitry. The PACER™
circuitry provides long, unattended operation with minimal
maintenance.
The E4 provides many useful standard features
including user selectable ºC and ºF readout, 4-20mA
and 0-5 VDC analog outputs, and RS-232 digital output. The
RS-232 port allows the scaling of analog outputs, and provides
direct communications with a host computer.
